ITS A BIG SCAM BEWARE DO NOT USE PUBLIC STORAGE UNITS go somewhere else!!!! I leased a unit in June 2016 for one price. Paid by the first every month except for one so paid the surgarge, my problem not theirs. I didn't catch the email that month. I receive a postcard on like 10/3 claiming that my new monthly payment went from $146 to $172. When I called the representative at the howell storage place, he said wow that really jumped. That's what his comment to me was!!!!! You could imagine how furious I was!!! Anyway when I asked why he said that's what corporate does sometimes when there are not that many units available!, NO REALLY!!!! so they are running some scam on poor people who can't get out fast enough. They give you one month free and then tack it on the end!!!
