I have worked for Two Men and Truck for about a year and a half now. As a former employee, I can say this is not a company you want to work for or move with. You can lose your pay based on other peoples mistakes, even if you had nothing to do with it. Many of the crew members I have had to move with did hard drugs, stole, broke things and lied, disrespected customers belongings and the customers themselves. Many were even in trouble with police for crimes committed at work. I’ve had to wake my crew members up from sleeping on customers furnitures (drug induced fatigue) We even had a crew mate who was in investigation for child pornography, definitely not the type of crew members you want to spend your days and hard earned time and money with. Not to mention the attitude, smell, and appearance of the people who I had to move with. A lot of the equipment they I use is damaged in some way or another. Especially the trucks which have gaping holes in most that leak and saturate the customers belongings in water. Ruining dressers, beds, boxes…anything on the truck, not to mention the pads they use soak up that nasty water, then are placed on your furniture. The pads are never washed, so even the trucks with no holes still have extremely dirty pads and gear. I’ve also had to endanger myself and other people driving the streets by driving trucks with improper working equipment. I was made to drive 2 states away in a truck WITH NO BRAKE LIGHTS, during my inspection I noticed this, informed my boss I could not take the truck, I was instructed to take the truck and do my job or be given a week off work.( a very common punishment for anything you do) and although this sounds like a fun punishment, when you have a family to feed it is not. I have witnessed the Customer Service Representatives mock, laugh, and make fun of so many customers after they hang up the phone. Talk about how they talk, or they are annoying, etc. customers who are being difficult might even be told they won’t be moved at all, I have personally been on a move where my customer called my boss with concerns, only to be told that we would leave and not move them “Great” customer service, right? I could go on and on about how this is not a professional company. How about instead I finish with how today went? I have been job searching recently, found a job, got hired, and gave my notice in today to my boss Michael Sham. He then took me off the schedule for the rest of my employment time. When I went to leave and grab my belongings, tried to stop me. When I went to leave and avert him stopping me, he shoved me back hard and aggressively, and started chanting “ you wanna go! You wanna go!” Trying to antagonize me to fight him. Yes my employer Michael Sham, Boss of Gulfport, Mississippi Two amen and a Truck, assaulted me for finding another job and bettering my life. I would stay away from this place, whether you are looking to be moved, or looking for a job, I would advice 110% to look elsewhere. If you believe this not to be true I have a recording of the insistent and would be happy to share with you. Clemmerjoey@gmail.com

For those of you in the market to hire a moving company to help you relocate… buckle up.

My wife and I just hired TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, the Gulfport location, to help us move. My opinion of this organization is mixed. I offer it now to those of you looking to decide on one or the other.

I can’t speak highly enough of the three men assigned to pack a truck with my family’s belongings. They were professional, efficient, and most of all, concerned with making the overall customer experience the best that it could be. Standing ovation to these three men!!!

That said, the booking/office/administration staff overseeing the Gulfport location lacks something with which to be desired. The initial call was made to get a “rough estimate” of what it would cost to procure the services. We wanted to know if the juice was worth the squeeze. During the initial call, an “estimate” of what was in our house was offered for an “estimate” on costs associated with the service.

When the men arrived to begin moving, they were told to only move the items that were given in the initial estimate. When we called the company to ask why our contents wouldn’t fit on the truck that they sent, I was told that I could have another truck and more movers for an additional cost.

Now, I called and spoke to the woman who originally booked the service and her manager. These two women were only preoccupied with explaining that we should’ve given them a better “estimate” of what was to be moved. As if an “estimate” (defined as: an approximate calculation or judgment of the value, number, quantity, or extent of something) was a final inventory. When I attempted to answer the questions asked of me, by the manager, she interrupted me with “I will have my men remove everything from that truck right now.”

Once she finished her explanation as to how and why she was right, she had the audacity to ask me if I wanted the additional truck and movers… for an additional fee, of course. The company was paid just shy of $2,000 and I still have, at least, a 16’ moving truck of items to move from my family home.

This company is in the business of moving people. It’s all they do. Ever. A better explanation as to what is a necessary item count (down to the individual box) in the initial “estimate” or, God forbid, an “I’m sorry that we weren’t clear in our first conversation”, would have been enough for me to spend more money and get another truck.

However, this company cares about making sure they are right, above all else, and couldn’t care less about the overall customer experience… to the extent of blatantly disrespecting the customer. If you’re still reading, and care about where your thousands of dollars are spent, I unequivocally do NOT recommend this company. Your dollars are better spent anywhere but here.
