Husband and I towed in our veloster last year for a transmission swap, after being told it was going to be a $6800 fix at the Hyundai mechanic shop. They did the swap and took it for a test drive only to have it come back in the same state we brought it in, which was "limp mode" and charged us $3800. And we haven't been able to drive it since.
One year later, finally being able to have the funds again after recently having our daughter, we decided to tow it back in to Hyundai. We were told that the power control module was fried, as well as the transmission control module. We have since had both parts replaced only to be told the transmission is faulty!
Not only did they give us our car back in worse condition than it was, but they put in a bad transmission. Way to dupe your customers.
